My Role: I work on the Strategic Marketing and Technology team and focus primarily on beef additives. I also work on regulatory projects focused on gaining approval for new additive ingredients across species in the United States. Additionally, I provide support for our additive marketing efforts through the creation of marketing and sales materials.
My Interests: I love to travel whenever possible and most recently visited Italy. I also enjoy watching Buckeye football with friends and family.
What's your favorite part of the job?My favorite part of the job is the people I get to work with and knowing that we are providing customers with individualized nutritional solutions that can help their operations succeed.
Sarah RuffingSenior Product Manager - Additives

My Role: In my role as Senior Product Manager for Additives, I focus mostly on our dairy additives, including our forage inoculant and acid products. To best meet our customers’ needs, I work closely with our species and sales teams on product development and with our manufacturing and logistics teams on operational excellence. I also lead regulatory compliance for our U.S. non-medicated additive products and collaborate with our global teams to support our import and export interests.
My Interests: My hobbies include traveling to see family and friends, watching our kids’ sports and music events, cycling, and working with my husband on our home improvement and yard and garden projects.
What’s your favorite part of the job?I’m most fulfilled when I’m partnering with coworkers to deliver innovative solutions for our customers. We have a great team and being able to leverage such diverse talents to meet common goals is very satisfying.
David PascoeTechnology Scout

My Role: My role is to innovate, source, and initiate evaluation of new technologies that lead to customer solutions. My goal is to improve the health and performance of our customers’ animals, and to create opportunities within their production systems through improved nutrition, additives, and technology applications. As a member of the Strategic Marketing and Technology team, I collaborate with our species teams to identify top priorities that require innovation and product development. I build relationships with external suppliers, universities, and other organizations to expand our resources and capabilities.
My Interests: My interests include mentoring students at the University of Minnesota and local high schools. I like outdoor activities, especially canoeing, fishing, camping, and growing vegetables. I also love to travel.
What's your favorite part of the job?People and science. I get to work with creative teams made up of great people with diverse backgrounds focused on achieving similar goals. The application of science and the opportunity for discovery drives my efforts to create customer solutions with our teams.
Don GiestingStrategic Marketing & Technology Additive Leader

My Role: Our team is engaged in leading positive change for our business and customers in the area of non-medicated feed additives and specialty feed ingredients. To be successful, we collaborate with our commercial species teams to deliver solutions that delight customers by consistently offering greater efficacy, quality, and value to our customers’ businesses. My role is to support the development of more robust and effective capabilities so we can deliver more compelling additive offerings to our customers.
My Interests: I have the privilege of living in the Twin Cities area, on the edge of the great northern woods. I enjoy hiking, Nordic skiing, and other outdoor activities, along with cooking, trying new foods, watching soccer and, alongside my wife, supporting our children’s path to adulthood.
What’s your favorite part of the job?My job is always filled with new adventures trying to advance our additive strategy, in collaboration with our team members in both the U.S. and around the globe. I have the privilege to help talented younger colleagues learn and grow in their knowledge, as they seek greater business impact and personal success.
Larry RothTechnical Service Specialist – Ruminant

My Role: My primary roles are in product development and sales support of forage inoculants, direct-fed microbials, and related feed additives. My greatest enjoyment comes from assisting fellow employees, feed dealers, and beef and dairy producers in developing forage management programs from genetic selection of the plant through growing, harvesting, storage, and eventually feeding of the forage. My colleagues and their customers also utilize me for nutrition and management troubleshooting at beef and dairy operations. My responsibilities take me all around the U.S., and my office is wherever my backpack is at the moment!
My Interests: My wife and I live on a farm in southern Minnesota, where we produce freezer beef, pork, broilers, layers, and maple syrup. I enjoy helping my three kids with their 4-H livestock projects, and chaperoning county and state fairs. We are also active in our church, and I personally lead our adult Sunday school class.
What’s your favorite part of the job?I enjoy traveling the U.S. and internationally to see the myriad of ways meat and milk are produced, and how cattle efficiently utilize such a wide variety of feeds. Every day I look forward to working with our customers to help them find greater success.
Russell CooperAccount Manager
- B.S. Kansas State University – Agricultural Economics
My Role: I primarily work with our sales team and customers, with focus on the Promote® Forage-Mate® line of products. My responsibilities include training our team members on our Promote® additive offerings, while also supporting our customers through individualized consultations. My role allows me the opportunity to travel across the U.S., assisting customers by developing solutions to meet the unique nutritional needs of their animals.
My Interests: I love to travel throughout the country, experiencing different areas and meeting people. I enjoy fishing, hunting, and golf, and I attend as many Kansas City Royals, Chiefs, and Kansas State sporting events as I can fit into my schedule and budget. I also like to work with the Youth Livestock 4-H and FFA whenever possible.
What’s your favorite part of the job?I like working with our sales team from across the country, helping to deliver optimal solutions to our customers based on their individual forage crops and growing conditions.
Amanda ButterfieldAccount Manager
- B.S. Penn State University - Animal Bioscience, with a minor in Microbiology
My Role: I am responsible for additive sales for the Citura business in the Northeastern U.S. My primary focus is on ruminant additives. I work with mills, dealers, consultants, and veterinarians to help them develop nutritional solutions that best fit their operations’ needs.
My Interests: My husband and I run a cow/calf operation in southwestern Pennsylvania and also have experience dairy farming. I enjoy being outside as much as possible, spending time with our daughter, and traveling to interesting places.
What's your favorite part of the job?I highly value promoting agriculture and feeding the world, both personally and professionally!
Jodie MyersForage Sales Specialist
My Role: As a Forage Specialist, I help CFN and CPN bring greater awareness of Promote® inoculant products. I support and educate producers and feed mills on the importance of forage preservation products and good forage management practices.
My Interests: My true passion of barrel racing came at an early age, as it was a family affair hauling to many local shows, jackpots, or rodeo. To this day, it’s a way of life for me and I continue to strive to be competitive in the barrel racing industry.
What's your favorite part of the job?I am passionate about helping producers better their business and achieve their goals. I also enjoy traveling to new places and meeting new people along the way.
Kari Saddoris-ClemonsTechnical Service Specialist - Monogastric

My Role: My primary role is providing technical product training to our sales force for our Promote® products for swine and poultry. I also support customers through consultations to provide individualized solutions for their operations. In addition, I assist with research and development for additives for monogastrics, through projects that lead to innovative product enhancements and new product launches.
My Interests: I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters. We like watching most sporting events, and specifically follow the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. I am also an avid runner and race at all distances from 5K to half marathons.
What's your favorite part of the job?My favorite part of my job is assisting with both the development and implementation of innovative products. Production systems are each unique, and our additives portfolio offers the opportunity to generate individualized solutions for each customer.
Gary KahleAdditive Sales Leader

My Role: I am responsible for leading a team of successful account managers as well as managing major feed additive accounts through our Citura business.
My Interests: My family and I live in western Des Moines, where we keep busy with both school and church activities. I am still actively involved in agricultural production, including crops and livestock.
What's your favorite part of the job?My favorite part of my job is interacting with customers and providing solutions that will be beneficial and economical for their operations.
John GarinoAccount Manager
My Role: I am based in the Southwestern U.S., where I help build brand awareness for the Promote® line through sales of non-medicated feed additives and forage inoculant products. I also manage our collaborations with sales agents, who focus on direct sales to area feed mills and independent nutritionists.
My Interests: Outside of work, I have a variety of interests. I enjoy farming, hot rod cars, auto racing, bird hunting, and cooking.
What's your favorite part of the job?Knowing I can and do make a positive difference for our company and livestock producers gives me the greatest fulfillment in my job.
Steve BehymerTechnical Sales / Account Manager
My Role: I am the Technical Sales Manager for the lower Midwest. I am responsible for ingredient and additive sales for the Citura business group in that area. I work with regional manufacturers, national manufacturers, distributors, and consultants.
My Interests: I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren. I enjoy following my grandchildren in their activities, softball, baseball, volleyball, basketball, academics, choir, and band. I am also an avid St Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan. I enjoy woodworking, handwork, yardwork, and farming.
What's your favorite part of the job?My favorite part of my job is working with people to help them with business solutions to provide unique and economical growth for their future.

My Role: I have worked for Cargill for 9 years. Prior to this, I had worked in numerous sales and management roles for Milk Specialties Global, Moorman Manufacturing Company, GROWMARK FS.
My Interests: I am married with 3 adult children. My main hobby is having good times with my 7 grandchildren.
What's your favorite part of the job?My favorite part of my job is continually meeting new people in the livestock production industry and working with them to provide high quality nutritional products and service.
Michelle SweeneyCustomer Service Additive Specialist
My Role: I support our business in the area of Customer Service, with specific focus on our Promote® non-medicated feed additives. I work cross-functionally to set up new customers, take customer orders, answer customer questions, provide quotes, and coordinate orders and logistics with our production teams. I also work on projects with the additives product managers, particularly for our Promote® forage inoculants.
My Interests: I enjoy spending time with my husband, four children, and granddaughter. We like camping together and watching movies. I also love cycling in between attending my youngest daughter’s soccer and basketball games!
What’s your favorite part of the job?I enjoy working with our specialty products, such as our inoculant line, which require specialized product and order management. By sharing my expertise on our customer’s needs, I am able to contribute to the growth and success of our business.
